European Commission's studies on tackling deforestation and impact of palm oil

The European Commission has published its long-awaited feasibility study on options for increased EU action to combat deforestation and forest degradation casued by imports of specific commodities associated with deforestation, such as palm oil, soy, rubber, beef, maize, cocoa, and coffee. It has also published a study on the environmental impact of palm oil consumption and on existing sustainability standards.
